The Nissan Juke 2019 Release Date continues to offer top safety scores, remarkable space inside, and all-round versatility; it’s still one of the best small SUVs, and a good value for money.

The Nissan Juke is the model that kick-started the trend for jacked-up small cars. Although it’s not much longer than the Ford Fiesta, it provides the raised driving position and extra practicality that’s normally associated with larger SUVs without their traditionally higher running costs.

It’s a popular choice with UK buyers, but having been on sale since 2011, it’s now looking long in the tooth compared with rivals such as the Renault Captur and Seat Arona. The time is ripe for an all-new version, then, and it’s coming next year. READ ~ Mazda Cx 3 2020 Concept

When it first went on sale, the Juke’s radical styling helped it to stand out from the crowd, and Nissan is hoping to pull off the same trick with the new model. Although it was initially thought that the IMX concept car, unveiled at the Tokyo motor show in 2017, might offer some clue as to the Juke’s design, Nissan has since confirmed that’s not the case. Speaking to What Car?’s sister title, Autocar, global design boss Alfonso Albaisa said the new Juke was “an urban meteor with a nasty attitude” and confirmed that it wouldn’t look anything like the latest Leaf, either.
Underneath, the new Juke will sit on a stretched version of the platform that underpins the Renault Clio and Nissan Micra small hatchbacks. It’s expected to be larger in almost every respect than today’s Juke, and that should mean more head and leg room inside, especially for rear passengers, as well as a larger boot.

In terms of engines, the new Juke will borrow from the Micra and Qashqai, which means 0.9-litre three-cylinder and 1.3-litre four-cylinder petrol units producing between 89bhp and 114bhp. There will also be a 1.5-litre 109bhp diesel for high-mileage drivers, and four-wheel drive will be offered, too. A six-speed manual gearbox will likely be standard, with an automatic available as an option.

Nissan Juke 2019 Release Date Review

Despite the current Juke already being more expensive than its key rivals, being priced from £15,505, the new model is expected to be pricier. An entry point of around £16,000 would allow the Juke to undercut the Arona, which is priced from £16,500.

Interestingly, and defying convention, Nissan is unlikely to preview the new Juke with a concept car, so as to maximise the impact of the new car’s look. The last Juke was previewed by the Qazana concept car in 2009, preceding the production version in 2010.

The best value in Nissan Juke 2019 Release Date is a base model with manual gearbox, but it’s still decently priced after adding fancy audio, leather, and a moonroof.
